Discover Michigan Made: Revisions Design Studio
TweetI really love functional, beautiful and innovative home accessories, so Revisions Design Studio, located in Marquette, has been on my radar for a while. They have a sincere and innovative perspective of modern and repurposing that really appeals to me.
According to their website:
“Revisions was created as a way of bringing together designers from differing technical backgrounds in order to collaborate in a multi-disiplinary way. This unique setup creates an environment in which limited production design is brought to market through inhouse prototyping and fabrication. Our objective is to create everyday pieces of functional art. Each of our designs are handcrafted in limited production batches in-house by us! We love being able to take a break from our desks to get our hands dirty!”
Revisions puts out three lines: Eco-Elements (porcelain housewares and accessories), The Silver Lining (silver spoon jewelry and accessories) and Urban Analog modern home accessories), all available via Etsy. I particularly like Eco Elements’ cast porcelain objects like the Porcelain Mason Jar Vase and Cheese Markers cast from antique silver spoons (a great hostess gift, methinks). The Silver Lining earrings made from antique fork tines are pretty sweet, too. In fact, I might go buy those right now … —Kelly
